Michael Dyer

Michael Dyer is an Australian author and language educator with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Based in Tokyo, he holds postgraduate qualifications in Applied Linguistics and Education from Monash University and has taught at several Japanese universities.

He is the author of more than 20 ESL textbooks, including the Discussion & Debate, Business Communication, Perfect Pronunciation, and Immersive Reading: Read, Reflect, and Discover series. His books focus on practical communication, critical thinking, and meaningful real-world language use.

Through ESL Learning Press, Michael develops textbooks and digital teaching resources designed to make learning more engaging for students and to give teachers practical, flexible tools for the classroom.
